Four sentence Rhetorical Precis:
Shehryar Fazli in her article , I am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up For Education and Was Shot by the Taliban, The Assassin's Challenge explains the reasons on why Malala’s home town was taken over by Militants and why she was shot. She supports her first claim by first explaining what happened and when the events took place, then by explaining why Swat was taken over by the Taliban and finally explaining how the girls were threatened to stop going to school and why Malala’s book has been banned. Fazli’s purpose is to inform about the terrible acts in order to bring awareness to the situation. She establishes a stern tone for the audience.
Believing:
This horrible crime was committed against a young defenseless girl whose only goal was to earn an education. She was brave and not only stood up for what she believed in but also what her family believed in . The taliban is a group of monsters who are not allowing their own people progress. Her book should not have been banned from schools and libraries, she was not only trying to help herself but her people as well.
Doubting:
Malala was only shot because she was given a warning and urged to stop going to school. She decided to continue with her education and that is why she was shot. It is not like she was shot out of no where or the she did not expect it because she did, she said so herself. Her books should be banned, they are only putting herself and her people in danger. Obviously the people in charge of schools and libraries are given the right to choose what books will be banned and hers was banned with a very good reason. It is time that she stops thinking about herself and she thinks about all the other people she is putting in danger because she is outspoken.
